Gossip Girl’s executive producer Stephanie Savage has dropped hints about the upcoming baby storyline on the show. In the last season finale, Georgina (Michelle Trachtenberg) told Dan (Penn Badgley) that she was pregnant with his child. However, New York Magazine reports that Savage refused to confirm that the baby is Dan’s. “Georgina’s baby is Georgina’s baby,” she said. “And you will learn all as the episodes unfold.” Savage claimed that the show will not do a “baby fake-out” and promised that viewers will “be seeing Georgina Sparks in more ways than one”. She also revealed that Dan’s former girlfriend Vanessa (Jessica Szohr) will be involved in the plot, saying: “Vanessa is back from Haiti and she’s definitely going to be in the Dan story.” Savage added: “There’s a lot of humour coming from young people trying to deal with this unexpected situation, but there’s also a lot of underlying heart and emotion in the story, too.” Gossip Girl returns on September 14 on The CW.
